At Maupuia, we value the independence and choices that each resident can make on a daily basis. We strive for the best quality of life for our residents and so offer a range of in-house services and recreation options which families and residents can participate in if they choose to.

Services
Life can be pretty hectic at times, so we are lucky that many local service providers take time out to visit us at Maupuia. These include but are not limited to -

• Podiatrist
• Occupational Therapist & Physiotherapist
• Hairdresser
• Church services
• Pharmaceuticals
• External Medical Services - You can choose to have your local General Practitioner visit you at Maupuia, and many laboratory tests are taken on site.

And of course, any other personal requirements can be arranged - just ask!

Recreation

Maupuia employs a Recreation Therapist who has the enviable charge of ensuring you enjoy yourself and if you wish, participate in some healthy competitive past-times. We're here for some fun too, and are always open to suggestions for an outing or to help you partake in your favourite past-times or groups outside of Maupuia. Currently we offer -

• Bingo, games etc.
• Painting
• News & current events discussions
• Trips out to gardens, shows & concerts
• Visits by community groups
• Visits by musicians
